300 workout

If you are like most people who watched the 300 movie, you would have watched it in awe of the physiques of the cast. Their bodies were like perfection, with hard lean muscle and very little fat, with amazing six pack abs, and they got their bodies that way in part by doing the “300 workout”.

The 300 workout is incredible and not for the faint-hearted, that’s for sure, but if you are looking for a challenge, you’re keen on building muscle and stripping that fat fast, then this workout will definitely appeal to you!

The 300 workout is based on 300 repetitions, but can be easily modified to suit your strength and fitness level.

So here it is:

1. Pullups – 25 repetitions
2. Deadlifts with 135 lbs – 50 repetitions
3. Pushups – 50 repetitions
4. 24 inch box jumps – 50 repetitions
5. Floor wipers – 50 repetitions
6. Single arm clearn and press with 36 lbs kettlebell – 50 repetitions
7. Pullups – 25 repetitions

Each of these exercises (all 300 reps!) is performed with no rest between each one. Unless you’re already in great shape, it is recommended you complete a variation of this workout until you increase your fitness.

One way to vary this workout is to reduce the number of reps for each exercise so that the total number of reps reaches 100, rather than 300. As you get stronger and fitter, you can gradually increase this workout to 300 reps in total.

If you’re already superfit, then you should be able to complete the 300 workout in less than 20 minutes. One of the 300 actors, Andrew Pleavin was able to complete this workout in 18 minutes and 11 seconds!

When building your body using the 300 workout or variations of this workout, it is important that you do not overtrain. Your muscles need time to repair and grow, so it is important you give your muscles time to recover. Working out every single day will not make your muscles grow any faster.

Also, when you do train, work as hard as you possibly can. Put everything into each workout and get your muscles working harder than they ever have before.

Now, we all know that the 300 workout alone will not be enough to give you the lean, ripped look like the 300 actors, however by combining your workout routine with an appropriate diet you will see some amazing results.

Be sure to include foods rich in protein in your diet and be sure to include a protein-rich post workout meal into your workout program.

The 300 workout is definitely a workout that will test you more than you have ever been tested before. Very quickly, and by following an appropriate diet, including post workout meals into your routine and stretching yourself beyond where you have ever stretched before, you will begin to build a body not unlike the 300 movie actors.
